Artist's Comments
Two years ago, I started this picture as an illustration for a friend's story. Life offline interfered with me finishing it, until today. The background is referenced from a picture by ~BlackDove-stock. The pose, and folds of the skirt are referenced from a picture by `lockstock. The gown's origin is a bit of a mystery. When I agreed to do the picture, my requester supplied me with a drawing to use as reference. I have no idea who the artist is, but you can see the original picture HERE.
If anybody knows the name of the artist, please leave a message and let me know, so that I can give him or her the proper credit. Edited to add: Many thanks to those who identified the source of the gown. Jonathan Earl Bowser's beautiful painting, "Singer of the DragonSong Lullaby" is the name of the original picture. |
