Artist's Comments

Two years ago, I started this picture as an illustration for a friend's story. Life offline interfered with me finishing it, until today. The background is referenced from a picture by ~BlackDove-stock. The pose, and folds of the skirt are referenced from a picture by `lockstock. The gown's origin is a bit of a mystery. When I agreed to do the picture, my requester supplied me with a drawing to use as reference. I have no idea who the artist is, but you can see the original picture HERE.

If anybody knows the name of the artist, please leave a message and let me know, so that I can give him or her the proper credit.

Edited to add: Many thanks to those who identified the source of the gown. Jonathan Earl Bowser's beautiful painting, "Singer of the DragonSong Lullaby" is the name of the original picture.

Very nice work. It's funny, but when I saw it I thought it looked very much like works I have seen done by Jonathan Earl Bowser. Turns out, he is the one whose drawing you based your work! He's one of my favorite fantasy artists. Check out his work here: [link]
Here's the exact painting, titled "Singer of the DragonSong Lullaby" [link]
It is so awesome to see you post again. Excellent work as always.

Gorgeous! I love the multiple colors on the dress. She looks so regal and elegant... I love her hair too. I am amazed with what you've done with her crown.
