Artist's Comments

Every night and every morn
Some to misery are born,
Every morn and every night
Some are born to sweet delight.

Some are born to sweet delight,
Some are born to endless night.

-William Blake (Auguries of Innocence)

The child vampire, Claudia, from Anne Rice's "Interview With the Vampire." sits amidst dead and wilted flowers.

Aww.. She looks kinda sad. It must suck to be a child vampire, never being able to grow up, and no matter how knowledgeable you are, no one would take you seriously because you look like a child.

This is a lovely portrait of Claudia. I always thought her story was very sad...and her death...both of them....tragic. :/

Do not complain about thorns among roses. Be grateful for roses among thorns. :rose:

Before I read the discription, I thought it was Claudia... I love this piece. So pretty! I can see the darkness in her eyes and the age too.

I agree with you. To have the mind of a grown woman in the body of a child is extremely sad.

Thank you so much. :) A very sad character, indeed, I agree.

Thank you so much. :) That's precisely the "look" I was aiming for with her eyes.

cool! I love seeing it the way the artist intended... it's really cool to connect like that! :D
