I'm not sure what she's staring at, but she's always alert to possible danger.

Perfectly composed, love the forest background, it all looks so wild and untarnished... by civilizaton, I mean. Could be easily like a scene from the Middle ages or even Celtic times.

I'm glad you like her. :) She's an urban fox who lives in a patch of woods close to my house. She's well known in the neighborhhood, and many of the neighbors feed her. Although she has never allowed anyone to touch her, she will take food from our hands and follow us around.

Thank you. I'm glad you like the picture. It's also one of my favorites of the series. :)

wow! hopefully she wont trust humans too much though there are some nasty people out there!

That's true, but since she actually lives in town, and everybody in the rather small, upscale neighborhood knows her, she may get along okay. She retains enough of her inborn fox suspicion, I think. :)

No wonder I love where I live. I'm off the main road, there is forest behind me, and life is very "laid back" and unhurried. We have a wealth of wildlife, even a chipmunk who lives under the roots of our huge old apple tree and who comes out to feed off the seeds and nuts we give it. It is so tame I can actually touch it and stroke its back. We have a family of crows living in a tree across the field, and we watched them raise three young crows this summer. A flock of wild ducks camped in the field last winter, about 25 of them, and we fed them daily. We are close to the ocean and a small lake, so they would fly up from that area every day and wait until I put their feed out. :)
